I 2Many Dj's, anche conosciuti come i fratelli della rock band belga Soulwax, forse hanno trovato la risposta alle vostre domande. Mentre tutti i club del mondo suonavano house con house, techno con...bhè, techno, il duo belga iniziò una crescente ribellione nella musica, sfondando le barriere tra il mondo rock e quello dance. Il loro straordinario istinto nel ricercare strane combinazioni musicali (che non si erano mai sentite suonate nello stesso party) ha trasformato le piste da ballo di tutto il mondo in una giungla di mash-up e elettroclash, dando nuova vita alla musica commerciale e ai classici del rock.

La lista di pezzi che l'orecchio umano può ascoltare, durante i loro live, è infinita, includendo inoltre piccoli pezzi di artisti come The Gossip, Kyle Minogue, Robbie Williams, Gorillaz, Justice, Klaxons, Daft Punk, Sugababes, Muse, Tiga, Felix Da Housecat, Ladytron, Hot chip, LCD Soundsystem...

Dopo aver fatto conoscere in giro il progetto Soulwax "Part of the Weekend Never Dies" (il documentario auto-prodotto sul più lungo tour della band e dei 2Many Dj's), i fratelli Dewaele tornano alla vecchia passione per le tracce impazzite.

Il 27 Febbraio i 2Many Dj's accenderanno il NO FUTURE

H&M just released their latest fashion video for their new ART By collection featuring a collaboration between H&M and up-and-coming creative talents. H&M interviews Mehdi Hercberg / Shoboshobo, a French visual artist, who has designed this collection. The Shoboshobo collection for H&M’s ART BY range is about friendship most of which features two characters. Hercberg explains “he doesn’t know what happens between them but some things happen” (ha!). The range consists of t-shirts, tank tops and sweaters which will be released on February 12th and will be available in selected H&M stores (check below for list). The range is really cute, I’m loving the colorful “bloody” graphics!

Belgium’s PROJECT CYBORG initially piqued my interest with their excellent bootleg reworking of BEASTIE BOYS “Super Disco Breakin,” and after further investigation I quickly realised I wanted them to do a showcase mix for NO LOVE LOST. Burning through a mountain of bouncing party remixes with wry smile firmly affixed, PROJECT CYBORG have blended their mix with knowledge and an eye pointed with laser like precision at the center of the dance floor. This is a well rounded mix from a new duo destined for a whole lot more press and attention over the coming months. Enjoy!

Here’s another fantastic stop motion video capturing the beauty of flight. As Ettebrute recounts, “On my night time flight back to SF from Amsterdam, I noticed that the lights from cities were making the clouds glow. Really spectacular and ethereal – it was really [great] seeing the impact of urban environments from a different perspective. Each glow or squiggle represents one town or city! Luckily the flight was half empty, so I was able to set up a impromptu mound made up of my bags, pillows, and blankets for my camera to sit on. We were around the midwest at the beginning of the clip, and there were fewer cities once we hit the rockies. the bridge at the end is the san mateo bridge.”
