Danny e Tiffany Preston sono i Rainbow Arabia, duo californiano attivo dal 2006. Nella loro musica si sposano elettronica da ballo e world music con una voce che riporta alla delicatezza arabeggiante di Siouxsie del periodo Banshees, il tutto sapientemente mescolata con attitudine punk e un fare 'do it yourself'. Nel 2008 hanno pubblicato un EP per l'inglese Merok records (stessa label che ha pubblicato i primi lavori di Crystal Stilts, Teenagers e Klaxons). Il loro è un sound che potrebbe rientrare di diritto tra le magie sonore di casa DFA e le ultime scoperte della WARP (vedi i geniali Gang Gang Dance). La loro musica sembra perfetta tanto per artiste fashion e moderne come M.I.A. e Santigold, quanto per rock band lisergiche come gli Ozric Tentacles. In Italia ancora non hanno una distribuzione discografica, e forse non l'avranno mai, ma sono una delle sorprese di questo inizio 2009. Le radio indipendenti italiane e di tutta Europa si sono innamorate dei Rainbow Arabia e del loro singolo 'I Know, I See, I Love, I Go' (tratto dall'EP 'Omar K - Let Them Dance') e la band ha intrapreso tour in compagnia di Gang Gang Dance e Mstrkrft. I Rainbow Arabia sono degli electro freak vicini alla world music, e con un'anima elegante e creativa come poche in giro.
